Who are www.classic-accessories.co.uk?

This is a B2C internet domain name of Classic Accessories (UK), a manufacturing/engineering company based in the UK.


Why would I choose to buy from you?

We can offer unparalleled service and technical advice as we are the manufacturer of most of the products we stock. Our luggage racks are produced to the highest standards and are available at very competitive prices as we sell direct to the public.


What do you mean by high standards?

We use top quality tube, all joints are brazed by hand, and we polish and chrome plate to BS quality and environmental standards. Our stainless steel is mirror polished to achieve the brightest finish possible.


Do you have a luggage rack that will fit my car?

We offer luggage racks to fit most convertibles past and present. To check availability for your car either click on the navigation at the top of the page, or contact us for any unusual requests. We can also manufacture luggage racks to customer's own specifications on request.


Can I fit the luggage rack myself?

Yes the luggage rack can be installed by any competent person. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure the rack is correctly fitted and safely loaded.


Will I need to drill the boot lid?

The permanent range of luggage racks require the boot (trunk) lid to be drilled, usually in four places. However, the semi permanent (removable) racks clamp directly onto the sides of the boot (trunk) lid, and therefore no drilling is required.

How fast can I drive with a boot rack fitted?

The vehicle’s speed should always be adjusted according to the size and weight of the load being carried and the current driving conditions including the wind speed. You must also observe any applicable local speed limits and other traffic regulations.


Can I place an order over the telephone?

We no longer accept orders or payments over the telephone as it is now more secure to conduct transactions online by using PayPal or by using a direct bank transfer (BACS in the UK or IBAN in Europe). How can I pay for my luggage rack?

We accept payments by credit or debit card using the PayPal system and we will ship to any PayPal confirmed address.

We can also accept payments by direct bank transfer using BACS or "fast payments" in the UK, or by using our BIC and IBAN details overseas. We also accept payments by cheques drawn in Pounds Sterling.

We can now also accept instant payments made via the Paym system in the UK. Please contact us for our account and telephone number details.

Please note we will usually dispatch your luggage rack within 1 working day if payment is made by PayPal or by "fast payment". Payments made by cheque will usually require a clearance period of 6 working days before we can dispatch your luggage rack. Please do not send cash.


Will you ship to a different address to which the payment card is registered to?

When using PayPal we can only ship to the registered cardholders address which should be confirmed with PayPal.

If you would like the luggage rack to be delivered to a different address, then you will need to pay by an alternative method

such as a direct bank transfer.


Will I know when my luggage rack is going to be delivered?

We work closely with our carriers and we can usually tell you on which day the rack is going to be delivered.

We can also provide tracking details and an email or text alert if required.


Can I return the luggage rack should I change my mind?

Yes, you have fourteen days from the day of delivery to return the luggage rack. First we ask that you email us to request a returns authorisation number which we will provide by return email. You will then be expected to return the rack to us in 'as new' condition, complete with all fittings and components. We will arrange a refund of the full purchase price by the original payment method. We do not refund the return shipping and insurance unless the rack is faulty. This is in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2013.
